Deanne Bray began her career with her first television commercial eating Milky Way Candy bars and dancing on top of a tall building in downtown Los Angeles in 1991. From there, she continued to work on independent films What Do Women Want, The Last Mountain, educational films and television.

In 2002, Deanne starred in her own series for three seasons on PAX's, Sue Thomas: F.B.Eye inspired by a true story about a Deaf woman, Sue Thomas, working for the FBI.

Deanne worked with Marlee Matlin on Showtime's The L Word and guest starred in HBO's Curb Your Enthusiasm and Law and Order: Criminal Intent. Deanne has the love of performing stage productions with Deaf West Theatre since 1991 including: One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest, Alice in Wonderland, The Christmas Carol, The House of Bernarda Alba, and Big River.

In 2007, she is releasing three sets of American Sign Language DVDs about pregnancy. Deanne shares her bundle of joy, Kyra Monique Kotsur (born in the fall of 2005), with her husband (since 2001), Troy Kotsur.
